Waterproofing and What's Behind the Tile
Every shower Ryan & Voigt builds is waterproofed before any tile goes on. It's a small cost relative to the project and it removes the failure mode that causes the most expensive damage in a bathroom.
That matters because water damage is a very common find when a bathroom opens up. It's usually not dramatic, it's the result of deferred maintenance or a poor original installation. Something as small as tile on top of a shower curb pitched the wrong way is enough to push water where it shouldn't go, and it can do that quietly for years.
